Adequacy of Program
The academic personal of the department has different areas of interest so they can propose different research topics for the projects and dissertations of the students. Since the Industrial Engineering deals with the systems, it is possible to perform interdisciplinary research with several engineering and management disciplines. In addition to the scientific and technological principals based curriculum, English proficiency education and some courses given in English provide good working opportunities for our graduates in national and international companies. It is possible to perform various computational applications with softwares available in the labs.
Key Learning Outcomes
1- Ability to identify, formulate, and solve problems in systems with applying acquired knowledge in mathematics, science and engineering.
2- Ability to design, develop, implement and improve complex systems, components, or processes and ability to comprehend the manufacturing and service processes and understand the relations with supply chain.
3- Ability to identify and implement appropriate model approach and ability to explain the stochastic behaviors and perform sensitivity analysis.
4- An ability to function on multi-disciplinary teams and to understand the roles, dynamics, pros and cons of being a team member, and ability to achieve successful experience in team projects.
5- Knowledge of theory and practice to solve complex design problems within realistic constraints considering efficiency, economic, environmental and social affects.
6- A recognition of the need for, and an ability to engage in life-long learning, knowledge of contemporary issues in science and technology, an ability to identify and access the information and knowledge from literature and other sources with a critical attitude.
